In education, many children are absent from school for long periods due to illness or other reasons. Thus, we are developing a remote class system to support these children with long-term absences who cannot attend actual classes in classrooms. It is equipped with functions to reduce the physical and mental burden on the user. One of which is to recognize the pointing movements of the teacher and automatically enlarge the area around the pointed position. This study reports the results of an operational stability test on the said function with several pointing movement and body position conditions. The results revealed that the pointing movement without crossing the arm facing the front towards the student was generally highly stable. On the other hand, it was found that movements other than pointing often resulted in magnification. |
