Motivated by the practical application of FCA ((Ca10-x Na2x/3)[(PO4)6-x(CO3)x][(OH)2-(x/3)-y F y]) as a solid electrolyte, the effects of anion composition and thermal environment on the conductivity of FCA were investigated. The conductivity tended to decrease with increasing y, which was probably caused by the generation of partial dead-ends in the conduction path of O2- due to the excess of F- introduced at the OH- site on the c-axis. The results of thermal stability test of FCA (x≈1.3, y≈0.88) reveled that the 70 h-annealing at 800ºC under air decreases the conductivity form the initial value of 2.4×10-2 Scm-1 to 5.5×10-4 Scm-1; which is considered to be due to partial elimination of CO32-. |
