Effect of material crystallinity on the performance of organic photovoltaic cells (OPVs) using Y6 and triarylamine-based materials, 2-({7-[5-(di-p-tolylamino)thiophen-2-yl]benzo[c][1,2,5]thiadiazol-4-yl}methylene)malononitrile (DTDCTB) and tris[4-(2-thienyl)phenyl]amine (TTPA), as acceptor and donor materials, respectively, was investigated. Grazing angle incident X-ray diffraction measurements showed that the diffraction peak assigned to Y6 was disappeared in the XRD pattern of the blend film of Y6 and DTDCTB, although the peak was retained in the XRD pattern of the Y6 and TTPA blend film. These results indicate that the disturbance of the formation of the Y6 crystal domains and the electron-transporting paths in the blend film of Y6 and DTDCTB may contribute the lower power conversion efficiency (1.4%) for the DTDCTB-based OPV than that observed for the TTPA-based OPV (5.7%). |
