In response to increasing of worldwide aviation demand, it is required to expand the airport capacity of congested airports. In order to achieve the goal, ICAO (International Civil Aviation Organization), many states and Japan are reviewing the interval criteria for air traffic control against aircraft wake vortex. It is necessary to verify whether the revised draft criteria can be applied in Japanese airports. Therefore, ENRI (Electronic Navigation Research Institute), MPAT (national institute of Maritime, Port and Aviation Technology) conducts to measure the wake vortices in the approaching to Haneda Airport's R/W 34L using LIDAR (LIght Detection And Ranging). This paper describes the results of aircraft wake turbulence observations conducted from March 2017 to February 2021 at Haneda Airport. |
