| (in English) | This study attempted to decode average event-related potentials (ERPs) during silent Japanese words by attention-based recurrent neural network (RNN) with encoder-decoder framework. In the encoder, the ERPs were decomposed into overlapping blocks, and principal component analysis (PCA) was applied to these blocks. Then, this representation was decoded, mora by mora, into Japanese words. For two of three subjects with 7 silent words where the number of summation is 100, the accuracy and MER attained 100 % and 0 %. Moreover, it was suggested that the transfer learning could yield better accuracy. | |
