| (in English) | In recent years, compact city policy has been focused for sustainable urban development in a city with declining birthrate, aging population and shrinking population. In a compact city, people mainly use public transportation such as trains and buses, as well as walking to move around the city because the central location of the city has the urban functions. Therefore, it is considered that a compact city can solve the problem of motorization. In this study, we use multi-agent simulation to analyze how agents' travel behavior and residential location choice behavior affect changes in urban structure. | |
