Assessment of Simultaneous Exposure of Human at Multiple Frequencies below and above 6 GHz

(in English) The temperature rise in human body is a dominant factor that cause adverse health effects exposed to microwaves at frequencies higher than 100 kHz. In the international guidelines/standard, the specific absorption rate averaged over 10-g tissue (SAR10g) is used as a metric to prevent excessive surface temperature rise for local exposure at frequencies up to 6 GHz. An area-averaged absorbed/epithelial power density (APD) is used above 6 GHz, where EMFs are absorbed more superficially. In the 5G wireless communication systems, the frequencies above and below 6 GHz are possibly used simultaneously. However, there are few reports to evaluate simultaneous exposure at multiple frequencies. In this study, we conducted assessment of simultaneous exposures from inverted-F antenna below 6 GHz and patch antenna array above 6 GHz.
