Beam Scanning Characteristics of the Multi-Folding Array Antenna on CubeSat

(in English) Conventional deployable array antennas are deployed on a single plane, whereas a multi-folded array antenna mounted on CubeSat is deployed leaving a step. This makes it possible to store even extremely large antennas in a small space with a simple mechanical structure. In this study, we investigate beam scanning characteristics in a unified manner, taking into account the steps that are generated. As a result of the study, it was found that the beam can be scanned in the desired direction even if there are steps in the multi-folded array antenna. The main beam slope changed scanning to the stunned angle. However, It was found that there was a big difference in the side lobes with and without step.
