Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) In order to achieve high-capacity communication in optical coherent transmission, a root-raised cosine filter (RRC filter) is considered to be used at the transmit and receive ends for signal transmission with high frequency utilization efficiency. However, there is a problem of signal quality degradation due to variations in signal point placement on the constellation map caused by nonlinear interference. In this study, we investigated the use of FIR filters for symbol rate processing to reduce nonlinear degradation in coherent transmission using RRC filters and QPSK as the phase modulation scheme. Under the conditions of this study, a five-tap FIR filter was sufficient to achieve sufficient improvement.
