| (in English) | In this paper, with the purpose of achieving safety mobile society, we describe traffic safety in penetration scenarios of autonomous vehicles, vehicles equipped with alert-type driver assistance systems by using a microscopic traffic flow simulator. We evaluate two penetration scenarios, which include autonomous vehicles, vehicles equipped with alert-type driver assistance systems with considering drivers’ reaction delays, and vehicles without driver assistance systems. The results show that the importance of penetrating any types of driver assistance systems for reducing traffic accidents significantly. | |
