| (in English) | In this study, we analyzed the degree to which people who use MoguRun, an application that allows people to declare work immersion, are willing to talk to each other and the time that has elapsed since the declaration, focusing on whether there is a difference in the degree of intimacy and the time required to collaborate. We also examined whether there was a correlation with the amount of time people felt they could generally focus on their work. The experiment involved nine scenarios combining three levels of intimacy and three patterns of collaboration, in which participants were instructed to talk to a mannequin (set to be immersed in a task) in a scenario called "a scene in which you use MoguRun on your smartphone or tablet to check on your partner's status and wait for the most appropriate time to talk to the mannequin." The mannequins were taught a scenario called "the most appropriate time to talk to the other mannequin" using a smartphone or tablet. The results confirmed that there were differences in the timing of the conversations depending on the level of intimacy, and that in some situations there were relatively strong correlations with the time that the participants felt they could maintain their focus on their work. In addition, the post-interviews revealed that the reasoning behind the responses differed, suggesting that the personalities of the experimenters, such as diplomacy and cooperativeness, had an influence on the results. | |
