[Special Talk] 5.8-GHz band high efficiency 1-W rectenna with short stub connected dipole antenna

Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) This paper presents a 5.8 GHz band 1W rectenna with a short stub connected dipole antenna. The short stub connected dipole antenna is used for direct matching with a high susceptance diode. In addition, low loss harmonic reaction feeders are mounted on the antenna. Simulated efficiency of the overall antenna is 99.3 %. This means that low loss implementation of impedance matching, harmonic reaction and DC cut can be achieved with the proposed antenna topology. The GaAs bridge diode is directly connected to the antenna without any circuit’s components. The developed rectifier achieves 92.8 % at input power of 1 W. This is top performance at 5.8 GHz band.
