| (in English) | The rapid spread of the Internet in recent years has made it possible for anyone to freely express their opinions, but at the same time, the influence of fake news or disinformation has become a social problem. To cope with this problem, fact-checking activities to verify the truth of questionable discourses have been attracting attention. However, most of these activities are conducted free of charge. In addition, mechanisms for the general public to support fact-checkers and to participate in fact-checking are still in their infancy. In this study, we propose Factcheck DAO to solve these problems. We actually developed a prototype of a Web3 application and held a fact-checking contest to evaluate the usability of the application. By conducting a questionnaire survey before and after the contest, we discussed the change in sentiment toward fact-checking and the sustainability of fact-checking using the application. As a result, we found that the interest in fact- checking slightly increased after the contest, and also found the rewards that would make fact-checking activities sustainable. | |
