A Radio Wave Environment Measurement in Dense Environment using Real-Time Wideband Spectrum Monitor

(in English) In an environment where multiple different wireless systems, such as wireless IoT, coexist in a narrow space such as a factory, interference between these wireless systems causes a degradation of communication data rate and response time.To solve the interference problem, we have developed a real-time, wideband frequency sensing technology that can monitor signals and noise in the frequency bands used by wireless IoT devices (920 MHz, 2.4 GHz, and 5 GHz bands). The developed frequency spectrum monitor can identify the original RF signal by sampling at multiple clock frequencies using a direct RF undersampling method. The clock frequency is lower than the received RF signal frequency and does not require a high-speed ADC, making it easy to configure with commercial components. In this presentation, we report the results of the monitoring of the frequency spectrums in dense environment where many access points and wireless IoT devices using different communication standards(e.g. WLAN, Bluetooth) which use the unlicensed bands.
