In this paper, we discuss a method of ego-vehicle motion estimation using a millimeter-wave MIMO radar. An In-vehicle millimeter-wave MIMO radar detects targets range, angle, and Doppler as peaks of the spectrum. We have proposed ego-vehicle speed estimation based on spectral analysis of Doppler and angle. It also has been improved by considering the difference between the heading of the millimeter-wave MIMO radar and the direction of travel. In this paper, we proposed an estimation of ego-vehicle direction change by spectral analysis and discuss it with an experiment. The direction change is estimated by the difference between the heading of the millimeter-wave MIMO radar and the direction of travel. |
