Visualizing logical relationships between lectures slides for prompting understanding of lecture

(in English) Lecture with slides has been increasing in universities. However, it is difficult for learners to find out the logical relationships among slides during listening to lecture. As a result, learners could not combine the contents learned in each slide to understand the lecture contents. They may also misunderstand the logical relationships between slides. In this work, we have designed a model for understanding slide lecture, which allows learners to be aware of the logical relationships among slides during lecture. Following this model, we have proposed methods for presenting the types of logical relationship between slides and for visualizing the slide relationships created by learners in a structured manner. We have also developed a system for the model-based slide lecture. The case study conducted with the system suggests the possibility that it promotes understanding of the structural relationships among slides and of lecture contents.
