A Study of Multipath Angular Characteristics near Human Body in 300 GHz Band

(in English) In recent years, the application of radio over terahertz technology, which relays millimeter-wave communications in a terahertz band, is expected in Beyond 5G, and it is desirable to realize a terahertz band wireless link using a MIMO system. In this study, multipath angular characteristics between a user terminal and a relay device such as a wearable terminal in a 300 GHz band are investigated by ray-tracing simulation and actual measurement in the propagation environments of line-of-sight and non-line-of-sight. As a result, it was described that a direct wave, diffracted waves from a human body, and reflected waves from walls, floors, and ceilings exit in a wide range in the space near the human body, and that the propagation path is multipath-rich.
