Radio wave propagation models are essential for designing wireless networks such as beyond 5G/6G networks. Generally, propagation models are established based on the results of propagation measurements under the target environments. Among various propagation measurement types, propagation loss measurement using unmodulated carrier wave (CW) signals is the most fundamental. However, it is difficult to measure propagation loss in large area in the presence of interference signals having the same frequency component with that of the CW signal. In this paper, propagation loss measurement scheme using CW signal suitable for burst-interference environments is proposed. Actual measurement results show that the proposed scheme can realize propagation loss measurement with high reliability in large area. |
