[Invited Talk] Discretisation of boundary integral equations based on collocation for Maxwell's equations with the isogeometric analysis

(in English) As to discretisation of boundary integral equations, one of widely-used discretisation method for Maxwell's equations is the Galerkin method with the use of the Rao-Wilton-Glisson~(RWG) basis function. Although the Nystrom method, which utilises quadrature points for collocation, is another promising discretisation for Maxwell's equations, a standard collocation method, which is also a typical discretisation method used for other equations such as the Laplace or Helmholtz equations, is not frequently used in the case of the Maxwell. This is because discretisation with naive collocation and the RWG basis function causes divergence of an integral due to the strong singularity in the integral operator for Maxwell's equations. In this article we propose a discretisation method with collocation and the isogeometric analysis for several formulations of boundary integral equations. We show that collocation discretisation can be applied to integral equations with the strong singularity since the isogeometric analysis smoothly interpolates a shape of domains and unknown functions.
