Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) This paper proposes a low-complexity multi-targets super-resolution AZ-EL ranging of FMCW radar. The complexity reduction is achieved by conducting MUSIC AoA detection on the down converted FMCW signals firstly, then applying FFT for ranging on the reduced signal space. To avoid the phase error in MUSIC caused by targets in the same distance, spatial smoothing is used. The proposed method was evaluated with computer simulations using MATLAB. Real world experiment using commercial FMCW radar at 79GHz and two corner reflectors was conducted too. These evaluations revealed the proposal can achieve over 700 times reduction of signal processing load with 11% measurement errors.
