(in English) To upgrade the IF bandwidth of radio telescopes, we are developing a broadband quadrature hybrid coupler using strip line structures, which is a key component of the receiver. However, especially on the high-frequency side, the frequency characteristics worsen due to air layers between printed circuit boards, and design specifications cannot be met. Therefore, we studied structural optimization techniques to improve the characteristics of broadband quadrature hybrids. By extracting the design parameters of the ideal coupled line models from the results of electromagnetic simulation and tuning dimensions of the EM model based on these parameters, the frequency characteristics of the quadrature hybrid could be significantly improved.
