[Poster Presentation] Preliminary Study of Angle-of-Arrival based Indoor Localization Methods using Distributed MIMO Sensors

(in English) In recent years, the proliferation of smart devices, the Internet of Things (IoT), and the increasing need for seamless indoor navigation have sparked significant interest in indoor localization technologies. Among these, angle-of-arrival-based (AOA-based) methods have emerged as a promising approach. The Multiple Signal Classification (MUSIC) algorithm plays a pivotal role in AOA-based techniques, providing effective AOA estimation even in complex indoor environments. This research aims to develop an AOA-based indoor active localization system. This article presents preliminary findings, including a system model description and localization performance evaluation. These results are derived from simulations conducted in an empty room with four sensor nodes, each equipped with an antenna array. The insights gained from this study lay the foundation for further advancements in indoor localization, addressing the demands of the evolving landscape of smart indoor environments.
