To fulfil the ever-increasing traffic demands, the introduction of quadrature amplitude modulation and coherent detection systems into datacenters is being considered. However, the high-cost devices in coherent systems, especially the digital-to-analog converter, the IQ modulator, and the laser represent barriers to use in cost-sensitive datacenter networks. Therefore, we should reduce transmitter cost by adopting low-cost devices; however, the use of low-performance devices triggers severe signal degradations. To solve this problem, we propose transceiver-impairments mitigation method based on neural networks. Simulation results confirm the feasibility of neural networks against multiplied transceiver impairments. |
