We developed non-photorealistic rendering (NPR) libraries optimized for high-level synthesis (HLS) technology that automatically converts software into hardware, created HLS-oriented software for pencil drawing style image conversion, which is one of the NPR technologies, and built a real-time NPR system on FPGA equipped with HLS hardware, a camera with double buffer for each of them, and a display. A real-time NPR system with high-level synthesis hardware, a camera, and a display, each with a double buffer, was built on an FPGA. We evaluate the frame rate, circuit size, and power efficiency of the system through demonstration experiments using an actual machine. |
