Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) Important information is commonly conveyed by emphasizing texts in an article. This helps readers easily grasp key points and extract essential information. However, the process of emphasizing texts, especially in many emphasizing parts, can be time-consuming and labor-intensive. In this study, we propose an automated approach to address this issue using document processing techniques to emphasize important information without burdening the author. Concretely, we apply six document processing technologies automatically to extraction of important parts from the input text and apply appropriate emphasis based on their importance. Our method is expected to enable authors to accurately convey their intended message to readers.
