In recent years, there has been a growing demand for smart factories with wireless information and power transmission to facilitate the use of automatic transfer robots and layout changes within the factory.
In order to make information and power transmission wireless, it is important to understand the wireless environment in the factory.
Therefore, we are aiming to obtain highly accurate information on the indoor wireless environment by conducting simultaneous multi-point and multi-frequency measurements using multiple spectrum monitors.
In this paper, for a fundamental investigation, we aim to create a highly accurate radio map in an indoor environment with local fifth generation (L5G) radio unit (RU) using the 4.8-GHz band.
We defined the origin as the height of the desk (0.7,m) directly below the RU, and evaluated the received power corresponding to the distance from the origin by measuring the received power at 0.1,m intervals from the origin to a position 14,m away from the origin.
Then, based on the free-space propagation loss formula and the measurement results of RU antenna directivity, we constructed a computational method for generating a radio map.
The accuracy of the radio map was evaluated by measuring the received power at four locations using spectrum monitors and comparing the estimated results with the measured results.
As a result, the estimation error of the received power in the line-of-sight environment was within 3,dB. |
