We propose a hybrid implementation of optical correlation-domain reflectometry (OCDR) and Brillouin optical correlation-domain reflectometry (BOCDR), which conventionally required independent experimental setups, enabling simultaneous measurements of the distributions of reflectivity and strain along a fiber under test. With the ability to measure reflectivity independently of strain or temperature, this method is anticipated to significantly expand the applications of OCDR and BOCDR in the health diagnostics of infrastructures and fiber networks. |
