Power-over-fiber is a technology that enables remote devices to be driven only via an optical fiber. The transmitted high-power feed light over an optical fiber is converted into electric power at the receiving side. In this study, in order to drive an optically powered antenna with a simple configuration, we have investigated a configuration for simultaneous data and power transmission using a hollow-core fiber, which can transmit high-power data and feed light due to the ultra-low nonlinearity, and evaluated both 5G NR modulated data and power transmission characteristics under high-power feeding. |
