An electric sliding contact mechanism is a mechanism that passes electric current from a stationary object to a moving object (rotating body). Currently, there is a demand for longer brush life and improved current transmission reliability. For this reason, in this study, a copper slip ring and a silver-graphite brush were used, and molybdenum disulfide, a solid lubricant, was added to the silver-graphite brush. A sliding current test was performed at 200 mA with different amounts of molybdenum disulfide added. The results showed that the higher the molybdenum disulfide content, the less brush wear there was and the higher the contact voltage drop tended to be. |
