The increasing multifunctionality of automobiles has led to greater complexity in the circuits and communication systems within in-vehicle devices. This has resulted in an increased risk of unwanted electromagnetic emissions from electronic devices and potential malfunctions of in-vehicle systems due to external electromagnetic interference. Consequently, the need for high-precision S-parameter characterization of electronic components used for noise suppression has become more critical. To measure the S-parameter characteristics of noise suppression components, test fixture boards are required. However, variations in parasitic components may arise due to factors such as the substrate structure, pads used for component mounting, and the influence of soldering during assembly. Therefore, this study focuses on the common mode choke (CMC) as a representative noise suppression component and explores methods to improve the measurement accuracy of its S-parameters by extracting the differences in parasitic components between devices mounted on different substrates. Specifically, the study employs the optimization feature of circuit simulation software, Simulated Annealing (SA), to attempt the extraction of these differences across different substrates. The results demonstrate that it is possible to accurately estimate parasitic components, including the determination of which substrate the parasitic components are associated with. |
