In the modern society, where labor shortages are becoming increasingly severe, efficient monitoring and inspection operations that can reduce human labor are in great demand. Therefore, autonomous operations by robots have gathered significant attention, where companies and local governments actively conducting experiments and verifications. However, the operation of robots relying on wireless communication faces challenges in real-time performance and communication stability due to constraints on communication range and bandwidth. In this study, we utilize wireless LAN standards operating in three frequency bands—920 MHz, 2.4 GHz, and 5 GHz—to deploy autonomous mobile robots. Based on the acquired throughput and RSSI measurement, we propose a robot monitoring system that enables efficient and reliable data transmission through wireless switching and optimization of video transmission techniques. |
