Performance evaluation of subarray-distributed MU-MIMO using null-space expansion -- Effect of element space and scattering radius --

(in English) Multi-user MIMO is an effective way to use frequency resources. However in a time-varying channel environment, inter-user interference can degrade communication quality. In response to this problem, the null-space expansion method has been proposed to improve the time-varying tolerance, and its effectiveness has been confirmed. In addition, several researches have been conducted to improve the communication channel capacity of MIMO by distributing base station antennas in a cell. In this paper, we investigate the effects of element spacing and scattering ring radius on multi-user MIMO transmission assuming a base station with a 32-element configuration (8 elements x 4 locations = 32 elements in total) with distributed subarrays. Simulation results show that the performance in high-speed fading is improved by null-space expansion.
