In this research, we developed a game-based English spelling training software and used it for students. As a result, addition of distractors reduced frequency of writing mirror-reversed letters such as ‘b’ and ‘d’, and misspellings of ‘l’ and ‘r’ were reduced partly. On the other hand, mistakes in spelling of words including pronunciation of prolonged sound were not reduced. It is necessary to devise training that can be effective
for patterns in spelling that were not improved in this research.
