This research is an attempt to compare and analyze Twitter trends by focusing on the momentum of each trend topics. To quantify the trend momentum, it uses average inter-arrival time of tweets that include the word of the trend. With average arrival rate calculated from the interval, this study compares and analyzes trend topics from the point of view, hashtags, time zone, and swap of trends. In addition, it classifies trends into two types, long-term and short-term. |
