In this research, we developed a 5.8-GHz magnetron phased array for high-power microwave power transmission. In order to stabilize the oscillation frequency and phase of 5.8-GHz magnetrons, we utilized an injection locking method, which was proposed in previous research. We conducted simulations and experiments on the phased array. In the experiments, we controlled all the magnetron units to output at the same phase, then measured the beam pattern. The results confirmed the output phases were stabilized. It also showed the possibility of applying injection locking method to 5.8-GHz magnetron phased array systems. |
