[Short Paper] Design of a Novel DNG Metamaterial Absorber for Triple Band Applications

(in English) This paper presents a multiband metamaterial (MM) absorber based on a novel maze shaped resonator. The full wave analysis shows 80.6% to 97.91% absorption at frequencies range for C, X and Ku bands. The results indicate that the absorption rate remains similar for different polarizing angles in TEM mode. With the FR4 substrate of 100 sq mm area and 56 sq mm ground plane, the design acts as DNG absorber in C, X and Ku band resonance frequencies (6.7 to 13.20 GHz). In comparison with other broadband absorbers, this proposed MM absorber illustrated broad incidence angles in TEM mode.
