Design of a Matching Circuit using a Post for a Metal Cap with Two Slots for a 60 GHz-band Mobile Module

(in English) This paper presents a design of the matching circuit using a post for a metal cap with two slots for a 60 GHz-band mobile module. The metal cap is fed by a post-wall waveguide (PWW) converted from a microstrip line. We design a matching circuit by putting a post inside the PWW. Simulated results show that the reflection is below -13 dB and the realized gain is larger than 9.4 dBi over 57-66 GHz.
