Design of a 135GHz Marchand Balun in 40nm CMOS Technology

(in English) The use of the D band (110-170 GHz) as the intermediate frequency band (IF band) of the 300 GHz band CMOS wireless communication device is being studied, but a small and wide-band balun is required to convert single-phase IF signals and differential IF signals.Therefore, we focused on a Marchand Balun and the structure was considered using electromagnetic field analysis.Review results, it was found that the line width of 2 um and the longitudinal coupling type showed the best performance.
