[Poster Presentation] Study of Radio Wave Propagation for low-power Autonomous WSN -- Attenuation and Fading Modeling by Measurements --

(in English) In recent years, a short-range autonomous wireless sensor network has been employed for various fields of environment monitoring. In order to operate WSN made module at low-power (≤10mW) and to keep communication reliability it is important to predict the radio wave propagation for various conditions. We have measured RSSI (propagation distance is less than 100m) by omnidirectional and tiny pattern antenna (2.4GHz) that is widely used do to its portability (but radiation efficiency is lower than the conventional antenna) in several environments. This paper reports modeling of attenuation and fading based on the measurement results.
