This research aims to design, fabricate and experiment a quad-band antenna for Internet of Things (IoT) applications. The antenna is optimized for the operating band of desired frequencies at 900 MHz, 1.575 GHz, 2.45 GHz and 5.2 GHz. The designed antenna is based on FR4 substrate with height of 1.52 mm and customized to meet the requirement of antenna characteristics including reflection, radiation pattern, polarization and gain. The proposed antenna can operate for RFID (Radio-Frequency Identification), GPS (Global Positioning System) and WLAN (Wireless Local Area Network), and it is suitable for both IoT devices and wide-band wireless communication systems. |
