(1) 13:00-14:00 Applicability and Limitations of Knowledge Based AI
○Takahira YAMAGUCHI (Keio University)

Recently, AI applications such as IBM Watson, Todai Robot and Siri have received much attention. They are QA systems that apply intelligent processing technologies such as inference mechanisms and machine learning with large scale of computational knowledge resources. However, they still have issues short of causal knowledge and commonsense knowledge and they do not manage framework to make smarter both intelligences by interactions between humans and machines. In order to solve the issues, we propose a framework for coevolution of intelligence, where both human intelligence and machine intelligence become smarter by multimodal interaction between humans and machines, including knowledge, dialog, affection, eye-gaze, face expression, position, behavior and environment. Furthermore, we will develop a platform named PRINTEPS (PRactical INTElligent aPplicationS) for end users to develop specific intelligent applications in various domains with ease.
