(in English) Since data exchange through the Internet has become a part of our daily lives, the number of files stored in personal computers is rapidly increasing. It far exceeds a capacity of man-powered data management. We require information management tools to classify a large volume of files and to find target files easily. Most desktop search systems use full-text search techniques, therefore they can not find target files when their filenames and the contents do not contain any search keywords. To tackle this problem, our research group has been studying an interfile relationships based on file co-occurrences in access logs. In this poster, we present a virtual directory generation system based on the file co-occurrences.
