Research on Text While Walking and Ethics -- Text Analysis Approach --

(in English) In recent years, the risk of accidents caused by texting while walking has increased. Furthermore, it has become a problem not only for young people in their teens and 20s, but also for middle-aged and older people in their 40s and 50s. On the other hand, some people accept the act of texting while walking and propose ways to prevent accidents caused by texting while walking by utilizing technology, such as introducing application tools to warn people who are approaching. This study attempted to analyze whether texting while walking is right or wrong from an ethical viewpoint by text-mining words used in abstracts of English-language articles on texting while walking.
