Investigation on parameter of phase rotation in transmission technique utilizing LC-diversity for MIMO systems

(in English) The rapidly increasing number of users and services in mobile communications requires efficient usage of the available frequency band. MIMO (Multi-Input Multi-Output) systems are one possible candidate to meet these demands. Here, we examine coding techniques in MIMO multiplexing systems considering LOS (line-of-sight) environments. We proposed coding technique that one modulated signal is uncoded and in the other modulated signal one data is transmitted using two time slot in 2x2MIMO systems (Transmission technique utilizing Linear Connection-diversity). In this paper, the criterion of this proposed transmission technique that enlarge the minimum Euclidian distance in LOS environments with the phase difference of the direct paths which obtain the worst upperboud on BER is shown. BER performances then are computed by simulation for LOS environments when the proposed transmission technique is used, based on the investigated criterion. The results of simulation show that BER performances when employing the proposed transmission technique are better than those when employing uncoded techniques in LOS environments. Furthermore, it can be confirmed that BER performances computed by simulation make effectiveness of the investigated criterion clear.
