Four-Component Decomposition of POLSAR Image Based on Coherency Matrix

(in English) Four-component decomposition scheme is developed for polarimetric SAR image analysis based on coherency matrix. The coherency matrix is used to deal with non-reflection symmetric scattering case, which is an extension of covariance matrix approach. The same decomposition results have been obtained. The advantage of this approach is explicit expressions of 4 scattering powers in terms of scattering matrix elements, which serves interpretation of POLSAR data quantitatively.
