An Optical Path Rearrange System with a Packet Forwarding Table Update Mechanism

(in English) This paper proposes an optical path rearrange system with a packet forwarding table update mechanism for topology transition in exterior networks. In our proposed optical path rearrange system, optical paths are rearranged to maximizing administrative domain network throughput. To realize this system, route of IP traffic are directed by optimal optical path allocation and packet forwarding route search engine, therefore, IGP (Interior Gateway Protocol) routing mechanism can not be used. Because of this reason, when network topology is changed in exterior network, some packet forwarding table update mechanism has to be installed to keep IP reach-ability. We proposed this mechanism and describe results of an experiment using test-bed system. Our system can be recovered the IP reach-ability within 2 seconds from topology transition in exterior network,
