Standardization and commercial deployment of circuit emulation that accommodates TDM signal in packet switched network (PSN) such as Ethernet are making progress. This paper explains the background and standardization trend of circuit emulation. Moreover, element technologies that we have developed to achieve career-class circuit emulation service are introduced. |
