Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) From the view point of Load(POL) designs, the fast response for load transient and high power efficiency are important factors. Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) Control is the common control method for POL. Though the control method is very simple and stable for POL, response the for abrupt load change is not so fast because of its fixed frequency. On the other hand, Pulse Rate Control(PRC) is very suited for such application. In this paper, control method and feature of PRC is described and advantage of PRC is revealed with the some simulation and experiment results.
