Electric characteristics of normal mode helical antenna with tapped feed

(in English) As a very small antenna for RFID tags, authors have developed very small normal mode helical antenna (NMHA). In this report, a method of impedance matching by a tapped feed is examined. The frequency of 300MHz is selected for ease of antenna fabrication. At first, in NMHA of an original type, design method of a tap structure is shown. Moreover, application to a folded structure is shown. Furthermore, experimental studies are made. Excellent antenna gain of –1.26dBd is ensured in a 0.05 wave length NMHA.
