To search for the condition to achieve data acquisition that used the
multicast for the communication more than one million nodes (mega-order)
intended for information appliances etc. , we experimentally examined it.
Each node was multiplexed with a process fork, and the system that sent
and received 1M packet per sec at each total with about 200 personal
computers was constructed by using StarBED.
We aimed sending and receiving 1M packet per sec from 1M node in total.
Operation accuracy each virtual node was assumed to be 1ms error margin
or less to the assumed sending interval of one packet a second.
As a result,
In this experiment system,
5000 virtual nodes were run with one personal computer by the
operation accuracy that was able to be allowed.
And one receiver PC was able to receive the packet from four sender PC.
We examined
the actualization of the multicast communication that used
the transmission node of 10^6 scales
by gradually increasing
the sender and receiver pair with these systems,
and paying attention to the
mean value, standard deviation at send intervals
and the mean value, standard deviation in receiver
at packet arrival intervals. |
